Flashback Friday: Deep RiverRock Campaign Photography (2011)

Looking back through the archives recently I rediscovered these images from a shoot in September 2011 for Coca-Cola’s marketing team in Lisburn promoting Deep RiverRock water.

Unlike many commercial shoots, there was no agency involved on this project. I worked directly with the client to create a series of lifestyle images centred around hydration, exercise and everyday moments. The aim was to capture natural situations where the product felt authentic within the scene rather than staged or overly controlled.

The shoot took place across a mix of environments including gym, outdoor and lifestyle settings, giving us the opportunity to explore a range of visual approaches while keeping the message simple and relatable.

Looking back now, it’s interesting how much of commercial photography still relies on the same fundamentals. Good light, genuine moments and thoughtful composition remain just as important today as they were over a decade ago.

Going through older work like this is always a reminder of how many interesting projects end up tucked away in the archives.
